In this tennis training session, I worked with Nikita on something every player needs to master: how to use your legs to hit a more powerful and controlled tennis serve.
His serve had potential, but his body wasn’t moving forward the way we wanted. The problem? His legs weren’t helping him transfer his bodyweight into the court. We tried different methods — including the platform stance — but we weren’t getting the result we were looking for.
There’s a clear difference between a decent tennis serve and a high-level one. And often, it comes down to this: how well you use your legs and your bodyweight.
