Eye of the Coach: “With Holger, we need to take lessons from that Roland-Garros”
Today, I assess Holger’s Roland Garros and his clay-court season. Of course, losing in the quarter-finals is disappointing, because our aim is to win Grand Slams.
But the road to the top is a learning curve and we’re going to learn from what happened in Paris and over the last few weeks to move forward.
If you look at Holger in October, who was 30th in the world, and the Holger of today, who is a solid Top 10 player, I think he has improved a lot and is no longer the same player. He has progressed a lot and won a lot too.
