In this episode, I had the chance to work with a 15-years-old Amina Zeghlouli from Morocco.
One technique I like to test on my players before we jump on the court is to see if they are right or left-eye dominant. Determining this is very crucial for each tennis player. It gives them a new perspective on their game and helps them understand what to take advantage of. It also allows me as a coach to understand how I can help the player improve.
Before our session began, Amina explained she was working on finding more space between her and the ball and maintaining the right contact point. After learning Amina’s eye dominance, I knew we could make her forehand a huge weapon.
In this video, you will see the transformation of Amina’s preparation, contact point, and follow-through.
